From Darkle to Sparkle

Lana has been a Registered Nurse for over 8 years in an adult Medical - Surgical Specialties unit, and loves what she does! Being able to help patients when they are most vulnerable and be there for them throughout their healing journey gives her much joy and happiness.  Lana's family and friends say that "nursing" is her passion! She enjoys working with the elderly population, and is hoping to be able to put a smile on their face and brighten their day as she provides and takes care of their feet.

As a Registered Nurse for over 14 years in an adult Medical Specialties unit, Marion saw a need to help the elderly population when it came to their feet. Being raised by her mom, grandma, great-aunt and great-grandma- Marion has always had a soft spot for the elderly, "To be able to provide such a simple task that can greatly impact their lifestyle is extremely rewarding."

Gia has been in the medical field for over 10 years. She has a true passion in helping others and takes it upon herself to make sure they are well taken care of. She treats everyone like family- and patients are always so grateful for her loving demeanor. She has been trained in the foot care field and clients are already raving about her. We are so excited to have her in our Sparkling Feet foot care family.

Marion has had her own business for most of her life- managing real estate, a pub and her own cleaning business. She is extremely versed in dealing with all kinds of people and is always looking to help in any way possible. She speaks English and Spanish. One of the biggest perks will be her calling clients to remind them of their appointments- so don't be afraid to chit chat with her. 

Working at the hospital together for over 14 years- and caring mostly for the elderly population- Lana and Marion decided to make a larger impact in a different way. 

We saw the gap in foot and nail care for the elderly and decided it was time to help them outside the hospital setting for a more individualized type of care. 

Many patients would tell us that they had no where to go to get foot/nail care. Reasons: podiatry won't do it most of the time, insurances don't cover foot/nail care, and/or had to go to nail salons which are not trained medical professionals in foot/nail care.

Unfortunately, patients were left with uncared feet/nails that usually progressed to more medical problems down the line. 

We hope that creating this service will help people have more independence, freedom from pain, and keep them out of the hospital setting.
